I Had A Threesome With My Girlfriend, And We Broke Up Because Of It

Pretty much every guy has fantasized about having an FFM (female-female-male, or two girls-one guy) threesome. Whether it’s two sexy strangers or a significant other and one of her attractive best friends, threesomes are among the most sought after sexual experiences and that’s because we implicitly believe that two sexual partners is better than one. To experience a threesome, or so we’re led to believe, is to reach the summit of sexual gratification.

As a sophomore in college, I had the good (or bad, depending on how you look at it) fortune of being in an FFM threesome with my girlfriend at the time, whom I’d been seeing for two years, and her best friend Kim. I’d only met Kim a handful of times but knew a lot about her: she was smart, independent, didn’t take her boyfriends too seriously, and she liked anal.

The last time the three of us had hung out, we’d gotten on really well, so well—in fact—that at the end of the night they’d both teased me by kissing one another. I could tell it was all in good fun, just to rile me up, but at that moment I took a mental note: if I was ever going to have a threesome, it would be with them.

The reason I bring this up is because there was a precedent for what was to happen later on. More importantly, we had that easy familiarity that you usually have with old friends. So when Kim showed up, the seed had already been planted.

That night we hung out at my apartment since I was close to the nightlife. For the most part, I played third wheel while they got caught up. Kim was at school in England, and we were all the way over in Montreal, so they had plenty to talk about. As the night progressed, talk got looser and easier. Kim opened up about how much she enjoyed anal (I’ve always been a fan), while Mel confessed that she hated it. Before we left, they even started to joke about having a threesome, teasing me about it and taunting me, saying they didn’t think I could handle them both.

We ended up at a pretty quiet bar and at some point Kim excused herself to the washroom. When she was gone, Mel looked at me earnestly and said she might be down to try a threesome. She asked me what I thought. Obviously, anticipating that this was some kind of trick, I was pretty noncommittal. I mentioned I might be interested but wasn’t sure.

Only after paying for the tab, the girls waiting outside, did the bartender come up to me to tell me that all they’d been whispering about that night was having a threesome with me. He told me I’d be crazy to pass it up. No, this isn’t an exaggeration – in case you were wondering.

When we arrived at my apartment, I wasn’t sure what to do. To be honest, I didn’t want to initiate anything and potentially destroy my own relationship so I let them take the lead. We all got ready to sleep and hopped into bed. It was dark, and I could hear them shifting around. Before long, I felt a hand groping me. It didn’t take me long to realize that Kim and Mel had switched spots. Kim and I began kissing.

They both played with Mel’s vibrator while I watched. Mel let me use it on Kim and they kissed. At some point I became focused on Kim. Mel told me I could have anal sex with her, if I wanted, so I did. I didn’t even notice Mel leave the bedroom. Kim did, eventually, and we stopped. Melanie had gone. We both tried calling her multiple times, but no answer. Kim finally got dressed and went to Mel’s apartment to try to talk to her.

The thing is, I could feel things going south. I sensed Mel’s discomfort, her jealousy, but I kept going. Unfortunately, the experience ended up being too much for her. She couldn’t see beyond it. It also ended up damaging her relationship with Kim. Ultimately, we broke up because of it, even though it was a mistake.

Perhaps the old adage: “three’s company” has some truth to it. Were I to do it all over again, I’d be a little less spontaneous, talk it over plenty more beforehand.

More than that, I’d be sure to invite a stranger into the bedroom, not someone either of us would have to see again.
