The Dos and Don’ts Of Tweeting A Porn Star

I want to fvck you is NOT a compliment - we know you want to

Social media plays a pivotal role in connecting public figures with their audiences. This probably isn’t news to you – and if it is, hey! You just learned something new. Tweet about it. But chances are, you came to this article through Facebook or Twitter.

Today, fans are afforded an unprecedented look into the day-to-day lives of celebrities and media personalities. Whether it’s Twitter, Instagram, or Snapchat, so too are your favorite porn stars who are using social media as a platform to market their recent scenes, work on their personal brand, inform their fans of upcoming projects, share their views on current events and connect in ways that weren’t possible 10 years ago.

But here’s the kicker. Just because you get an inside view into the life of a public figure, doesn’t mean you have to throw your mental filter out the window – be smart. From some pretty awesome and intense experiences, here are the best ways to connect with your favorite porn stars to avoid getting blocked or ridiculed.

Avoid Objectification

While it may sound contradictory, most porn stars don’t like fans objectifying them. Tweeting your favorite porn star something vulgar or telling her that you fapped to her latest performance is unlikely to elicit a positive response – if one at all. It’s nice and we appreciate the indirect compliment, but it borders on creepy if you have to come tell us about it. Similarly, professing your aching desire to have her perform sex acts on you is also likely to flop. She’s a person, not an object. She has feelings and a life with friends, family and hobbies outside of work. If you treat her like she’s just an object, chances are your notifications won’t light up with a reply from her any time soon. So, don’t hold your breath, or you might turn blue and die…and we don’t want that.

Learn about the person behind the persona

Don’t let this shock you, but your favorite porn star made up in glitz and glam on screen, may actually be a tom boy who watches sports, or builds cars a la Phoenix Marie. A talented porn star creates a sexual fantasy as a form of adult entertainment, this doesn’t mean they live in that fantasy world, nor that they carry it with them after leaving the set.

In a simplified context, do you really think Ewen McGregor was a heroin addict off set when filming Trainspotting? Is Ian McKellan guiding hobbits around the streets of London? Understand, the persona you see on screen doesn’t exist outside of the fantasy it was meant to create. If you approach a porn star as a person instead of this fantasy persona, you’re more likely to get a positive and sincere response from her. Follow her social feed and find out her hobbies, favorite TV shows and the like. Most porn stars would prefer chatting about their favorite rock band, instead of the fact that you spanked it to them last night. Stand out from the crowd

For the love of all that is holy, avoid tweeting your favorite porn star asking inappropriate questions, making rude comments, or demanding things. Stop yourself right now if you’re thinking of asking her to retweet your witty idioms, give you a shout-out, or follow you back. If you’re dying to compliment her on a physical feature, try complimenting her on something subtle so she knows you’re paying attention to more than her boobs. Perhaps she highlighted her hair recently, or applied a cool nail color. When 50,000 other people are Tweeting “nice tits!” don’t you think she’d appreciate someone noticing her new manicure? If all else fails, say something clever and witty. Everyone likes a good laugh!

Don’t expect a response

Last but not least, don’t expect a response. If you approach a porn star on social media with the expectation of getting a response, you’re likely to find yourself disappointed. It’s not that she hasn’t seen your 50th tweet to her that day, but consider that some of the most popular porn stars have close to a million followers. It’s humanly impossible for them to get back to everyone. If you want to say something complimentary to your favorite porn star, do so knowing that chances are she’ll read it and it may brighten her day. If she responds, consider it a bonus. You may just get a response when you least expect it. But, don’t take it personally if you don’t. She wouldn’t be able to produce all this wonderful pornography if she were sitting at home all day responding to people on Twitter.
